Part of a Team
Barwon Health also has a strong affiliation with the Deakin Medical School.

All trainees will have the opportunity to be involved in the teaching of final year medical student in their aged care rotation.

In addition, we also have linked to several research groups within Barwon Health and Deakin University Faculty of Health. We provide access to research and statistical support within Barwon Health and through Deakin University.

There is plenty of opportunity for trainees to conduct a research study in a well-supported environment to satisfy the college training requirement.

Barwon Health currently has 5 advanced trainee positions in Geriatric Medicine and 2 positions for the rotating BPT. We are accredited to provide 24 months of core training. We offer a variety of different rotations in Geriatric Medicine as described above.
