As part of our Water team, you will play a key role in promoting sustainable water resource management for various sectors, including governments, investors, developers, and utilities, by focusing on network maintenance, risk mitigation, and strategic planning.

About the role

As a response to the continuous growth of our Australian operations, the WSP Water business is in search of experienced Planning Engineers to join the National Asset Management and Planning team.

As a Senior Water & Sewer Planning Engineer, your responsibilities will involve leading technical assessments of water supply and sewerage networks to address factors like growth, compliance, and performance improvement, while undertaking planning projects and collaborating with clients throughout Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading technical tasks on water infrastructure projects.
  • Facilitating client workshops.
  • Producing detailed technical reports.
  • Contributing to proposals and business cases.
  • Supervising project teams.
  • Engaging in industry associations.
  • Ensuring compliance with SHEQ regulations.
About you

As part of our team, you should have a background in delivering engineering consultancy services to both public and private sector clients, with expertise in project scoping, client relationship management, and risk identification.

  • Technical expertise across various projects.
  • Experience in water network planning and operation.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Client relationship building and business development.
  • Hydraulic principles and modeling.
  • Analytical skills and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in GIS and data analysis tools.
  • Water engineering experience and consultancy background.
  • Project management knowledge.
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • CPENG certification is a plus.
