At VelocityEHS, we are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our Research and Development Team. We need individuals who are enthusiastic problem solvers and love tackling challenging business issues. Join our expanding test team to work on automated scripts and enhance our test automation framework. In this role, you will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, application developers, database developers, fellow QA team members, Business Analysts, product owners, and the DevOps team.

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer at VelocityEHS, you will have the chance to demonstrate your commitment to quality and technical expertise by contributing to some of our most significant projects. Working with teams globally, you will be tasked with implementing test automation frameworks for our SaaS applications. This is a thrilling opportunity within a growing team, where you will engage with various stakeholders, including enterprise architects, developers, testers, business analysts, product owners, and the DevOps team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain automation test framework
  • Establish, own, and drive automated testing end-to-end
  • Troubleshoot failures and enhance fragile scripts
  • Provide creative solutions to testing challenges
  • Collaborate with test teams and integrate tests into CI/CD process
  • Coach and mentor QA team members on creating effective automated tests
  • Monitor test results closely for prompt feedback and engage in peer code reviews

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a Technical QA role or Development role in an Agile setting
  • 2+ years experience scripting and running tests on Single Page Applications (SPA) and Responsive Design
  • 2+ years experience scripting and running tests on Back End including API / Microservice Architecture
  • 1+ years of experience integrating tests into CI/CD process
  • Experience managing test data in an automation environment
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages like Groovy, Java, C#, or Python
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong appetite for continuous learning and personal development

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with mobile test automation
  • Experience with load/performance testing
  • Experience with Swagger is a plus
  • Experience with GraphQL is a plus
