Established in 2012, Allspec Engineering is a Heavy Steel Fabricator working with various clients across the resources sector and, over the last 11 years we have a built a reputation for delivering quality steel fabrication across the WA market.

Operating from our Workshop in Hope Valley, we have a team of dedicated, driven, and successful individuals who work to deliver positive outcomes for our clients.

Having recently completed the extension to our workshop which has doubled our capacity and we are looking for a dedicated
Expeditor to join our successful team.

About the role

Working as part of our Project Execution team, reporting into our Project Manager, the role of Expeditor will be responsible for coordinating dispatch and delivery services to provide and receive materials for the workshop.

Based at our Hope Valley workshop the core duties will include:

• Work with our Project Coordinator's in coordinating and overseeing the collection and delivery of projects to and from subcontractor and/or supplier premises.
• Produce delivery dockets with assistance from the Project Coordinators to ensure the correct dockets are available for dispatch within the required timeline.
• Ensure clear work instructions are provided to all drivers.
• Identify any issues, delays, or other constraints to minimise disruption to the delivery schedule.
• Sort materials into their correct racks and storage areas to ensure easy access.
• Visit suppliers and expedite items from their facilities and report on progress.
• Ensure all dispatch documents and photographs are completed and taken prior to dispatch and saved to relevant company files.

About you
With previous experience within the heavy steel industry, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Experience coordinating truck drivers, deliveries and loads
• Competent handling and strapping freight
• Forklift ticket (LF)
• MC or HC Licence would be highly regarded
• Strong communication skills, ability to liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure positive outcomes
• IT literate with knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Rigger/Dogman ticket would be advantageous
