Project Highlights:

Pluto Train 2 entails the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia managed by Woodside Energy. The project will process Scarborough gas, with an LNG capacity of approximately 5 million tonnes annually. In addition, new domestic gas infrastructure will be integrated to enhance capacity to around 225 Terajoules per day. Bechtel has been chosen by Woodside Energy to carry out the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning tasks for Pluto Train 2. Woodside Energy stands as Australia's primary natural gas producer, and Bechtel looks forward to collaborating with this crucial partner in meeting the rising global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

Summary of the Role:

As the Crane/Rigging Superintendent, you will oversee a team and supervise superintendents and craft professionals on a project. Your responsibilities include guiding craft professional activities and schedules, coordinating subcontract work, and fostering team development. Your supervision is crucial in ensuring that craft professionals are adequately equipped, adhere to project policies, comply with job site rules, and meet project specifications, timelines, and budgets.

This position involves a FIFO arrangement on a 3-weeks-on, 1-week-off roster in Karratha, WA.

Main Responsibilities:

⦁ Leadership/Supervision (Discipline Supervision of superintendents overseeing 50 to 100 craft or Responsible for Area/Facility)
⦁ Directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and other assigned personnel (Direct Hire)

Planning/Productivity
⦁ Identifies workforce needs and coordinates established operational plans for the assigned area.
⦁ Manages the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables to ensure craft professionals have necessary equipment for productivity.

Safety & Quality
⦁ Ensures adherence to the latest design documentation and obtains approval for any design changes before implementation.
⦁ Verifies that construction operations and subcontractor performance conform to specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Technical
⦁ Collaborates with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering and technical documents.
⦁ Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, Foremen, and Craft Professionals.

Qualifications and Experience:

Require a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

⦁ In-depth understanding of Bechtel's rigging planning and execution standards.
⦁ Advanced technical expertise in engineering related to lifting equipment, heavy lifting systems, mobile gantries, rigging equipment, and load distribution systems.
⦁ Thorough comprehension of construction activities in relation to engineering disciplines, cost, scheduling, and contract management.
⦁ Familiarity with project-specific environmental compliance requirements.
⦁ Bechtel Certified Rigging Engineer (CRE) certification is preferred.
