This exciting new role at SkyPoint will oversee food and beverage and Guest Service operations in the absence of the Operations Manager to ensure SkyPoint is delivering high quality service and offerings, as well as support the team through training and coaching.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for leading our SkyPoint Attendants and Team Leaders within F&B and Climb, and will oversee daily operations of the departments including:

  • Working closely, provide coaching and hands-on leadership that motivates the front-line team to excel.
  • Developing team performance including customer service, guest experience and achieving sales targets
  • Conducting on the job employee training, coaching, performance management and mentoring
  • Maintaining optimum daily staffing levels and controlling departmental costs within budgets
  • Ensuring that an exceptional level of service and efficiency is delivered at all times, while maintaining a high standard of product quality and presentation
  • Identify and implement continual improvement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures as well as supporting training documentation
  • Support Management in processes such as recruitment, stocktake, new initiatives and rostering
To be considered, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Working closely, provide coaching and hands-on leadership that motivates the front line team to excel.

  • Maintaining optimum daily staffing levels and controlling departmental costs within predetermined budgets
  • Ensuring that an exceptional level of service and efficiency is delivered at all times, while maintaining a high standard of product quality and presentation
  • Identify and implement continual improvement initiatives
  • Support Management in processes such as recruitment, stocktake, new initiatives and rostering
To be considered, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience within a similar high volume customer service/hospitality environment and a demonstrated, hands on ability to effectively lead, coach, mentor and develop teams at the front line
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve complex situations;
  • Performance management and conflict resolution;
  • Passion and enthusiasm for delivering an outstanding guest service experience and experience in instilling and maintaining a positive and professional service culture within a fastpaced, high energy team environment
  • Previous experience working to wage and COGS budgets, while driving sales and performance through sales based initiatives
  • Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, and a proven ability to work across bar, food, and or guest service operations
  • Demonstrate exemplary communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and organisational skills
  • Experience working with POS database systems and competent cash handling/management abilities
