About the role
The Payroll Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the timely payment of approximately 2,700 VMCH employees on a fortnightly basis, leading a team of 5 Payroll Officers with regards to day-to-day operations and providing specialist payroll advice to VMCH employees.
Some of the responsibilities of the role include:
- Maintenance of the payroll system
- Updating records
- Investigating and responding to payroll queries
- Calculation and processing of terminations, variations, salary increases and back pays
- Preparing superannuation and work cover deductions
- Liaising with and processing salary packaging through our external provider
About you
You have extensive, end to end payroll experience within a large, complex organisation and the ability to lead a high-performing team.
In addition, you possess the following:
- Understanding of payroll legislation and processes
- Ability to interpret Awards and relevant legislation
- Experience with payroll and time and attendance systems we use Preceda and Emplive
- Outstanding attention to detail
- The ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersobnal skills
