About the Opportunity:


CleanCo is looking for a Commercial Manager - PPA Implementation for a 2-year max term contract, to join our Customer & Energy Markets team at CleanCo in our Brisbane CBD office.

In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to secure renewable energy and capacity, driving CleanCo's vision for a sustainable future.


In this newly created opportunity, you'll play a critical role in monitoring and analysing the renewable energy market, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting the negotiation and execution of medium to long-term renewable energy and storage goals.

Your focus will be on enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of how CleanCo secures contracted energy under commercial PPA arrangements.


This opportunity is based in Brisbane and will work a flexible model that includes working from the office and at home.


About you:

To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

  • Understanding of National Energy Market and experience in commercial negotiations and the execution of PPAs.
  • Familiarity with energy market fundamentals, especially renewable energy products such as Hydro, Solar, Wind and Batteries.
  • Proven track record in identifying and developing commercial opportunities in the energy market.
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
  • Experience in designing, negotiating, executing, and monitoring contractual obligations.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and collaboration and consultation skills.
  • Extensive numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Extensive experience in project reporting and tracking.
  • Relevant tertiary degree in Legal, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • A passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of a clean energy future crafted in Queensland.
