Who You Are

What You'll Do

As part of the technical support team under the guidance of the Manager (Technical Support Services), your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating technical support for practical classes, overseeing setup, maintenance, and management of teaching spaces;
  • Supervising and providing training on equipment usage, techniques, and procedures to staff and students;
  • Offering specialized support for health and safety audits and risk assessments;
  • Contributing to the design and assembly of research equipment and executing experimental programs;
  • Analyzing complex technical data and information.

What Will Help You Succeed

To excel in this role, you must have extensive technical knowledge in using, maintaining, and demonstrating lab equipment, along with familiarity with advanced techniques in allied health settings. Your enthusiasm, motivation, and ability to collaborate harmoniously with colleagues are essential. Additionally, you should have:

  • A relevant tertiary-level qualification and substantial work experience in sports, allied health, technical, laboratory, or teaching environments, or specialized technical expertise;
  • Demonstrated leadership in applying workplace health and safety principles;
  • Skills to enhance service delivery through process coordination and improvement.
