As the Procurement Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager of National Solutions and be tasked with overseeing the full spectrum of rate procurement management and support for the Business Development team in the Freight Forwarding Division.
Your responsibilities will include providing leadership and direction for procurement activities, ensuring their effective execution, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the Business Development team to gather relevant information for inquiries
- Compile, investigate, and analyse national rate tariff data from various suppliers
- Identify service and pricing discrepancies between providers to ensure competitive pricing
- Ensure the timely and accurate entry of ocean and air tariffs, as well as associated costs.
- Prepare supporting information for RFQs
- Review, update, and maintain product guides
- Assist with tender preparation and keep records of the outcome (win/loss) of submissions
- Collect, review, and present KPI's and other metrics across all products
- Provide necessary information for monthly regional and global reporting requirements
- Coordinate with overseas offices and agents as needed
- Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to deliver exceptional service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
To be considered, you must have the following:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role
- Previous experience working within a logistics/freight forwarding company
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Suite
- Previous experience in Cargowise system or other warehouse/logistics system
- Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
