What being an OSHC Educator Entails
OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods.
Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children - such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.
As an OSHC Educator you will:

Your workspace at the Y
YMCA Park Ridge Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service is situated at Park Ridge State School.
Our service offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings.
This helps encourage a sense of community amongst the children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows your child to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.
Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children's agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood.We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.
To be successful you must have:
- A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children Services or equivalent or if you are studying towards a relevant qualification
- A Fantastic sense of fun & a tremendous imagination
- Hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Blue Card or willing to obtain one
