Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services as part of the P4S program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney.

D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. We will provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people of the southern region of Sydney as well as creating pathways to enter the water industry.

D4C is seeking a Project Manager to join their expanding team to deliver excellence in the waste water projects program of works across the southern region.

This is a construction project leadership role that is accountable for particular projects delivering gravity sewer construction, sewer manhole upgrades, emergency relief structures, stormwater over flow lines, manhole repairs and valve installations.. The role will lead project teams owning the outcome for construction delivery of their allocated projects within the network.

Key aspects include the Sewer renewals involving the construction and modification to gravity sewers and sewer access chambers. This can be undertaken through both civil excavation and trenchless technology.

As a Project Manager you'll be leading projects and your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the overall delivery of the project in accordance with NEC4 processes
  • Assign resources to deliver the works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards, monitor and guide workflow, setting daily, weekly and long-term project goals
  • Provide constructability input to the design
  • Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestone to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates
  • Ensure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue
  • Monitor staff and labour resourcing to ensure project is achieving targets
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Sydney Water policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedures.
  • Perform internal cost tracking and external cost reporting per client requirements
  • Identify and manage project changes
  • Contribute to and foster a good safety culture
  • Engineering degree or equivalent (Project Management diploma or master is highly desirable)
  • Experience in the delivery of gravity sewer construction, sewer manhole upgrades, emergency relief structures, stormwater over flow lines, manhole repairs and valve installations.
  • Experience in private plumbing rectification works as part of source control inflow is desirable
  • Recent work experience managing medium to large projects
  • Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental management
  • Advanced financial and commercial management - cost reduction and meeting budgets
  • Client relationship and stakeholder management experience/business development
  • Highly competent with MS office
  • White card
