Maroondah's Statutory Planning Team is committed to continuous improvement, quality customer service and is focussed on facilitating sound planning outcomes.

We provide a supportive learning environment where you can grow your planning career in a positive multi-disciplinary team.

This position would suit a recent graduate (or a soon to be graduate who has substantially completed their degree), someone who has studied in a related industry field that may be wanting to move into statutory planning, or a more experienced statutory planner wanting to work across a diverse range of projects including commercial and residential developments, land use assessments and urban design.

There will also be opportunity to prepare submissions and represent Council at VCAT.

To be successful in the role you will have completed (or substantially completed) a degree in Urban and Regional Planning or similar degree/qualifications, have knowledge of statutory procedures pertaining to the Planning and Environment Act (including planning schemes) and be able to deliver a high level of customer service.

We are also seeking someone with demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills along with analytical and investigative skills.
