YMCA Victoria Point is now seeking a
Swimming Lessons Teacher to join their dynamic and enthusiastic team on a
casual basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE


The role of a
Swimming Lessons Teacher is responsible for teaching our youth to swim in a safe and friendly environment.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Structure and design classes with appropriate activities that enhance student interaction and collaboration
  • Initiate and nurture group interaction and involvement of all participants in the class
  • Use respectful, positive language and encouragement
  • Actively work within a team environment to ensure safe, timely and effective set up, class delivery and pack up
  • Ensure appropriate attendance and competency records are completed, collated and submitted for archiving
  • Comply with all legislative and organisational requirements

ABOUT YOU

  • Hold an AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety accreditation
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under mínimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills coupled with a welcoming, friendly and approachable manner
  • Current certification for First Aid and CPR, or the willingness to obtain them
  • Hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one
