About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a large self-insured not for profit, as full time WHS and Injury Management Coordinator based from Mile End.
Reporting to the Head of Workforce Safety and Injury Management, you will be responsible for providing effective WHS triage and workers compensation claims management support.
Duties:
- Monitor, triage queries and provide support for WHS and Injury Management
- Initial point of contact for WHS incidents and hazards, in addition to active follow up
- Undertake data analysis and contribute to reports
- Deliver exceptional customer service through the Claims Management process
- Provide early intervention injury information and advice
- Coordinate case conferences and schedules
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Managers, GPs, Specialists and more
About you:
- Preferably have experience in a similar role in WHS / Claims Coordination
- High level administration skills
- Ability to manage sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, communication and problemsolving skills
- High level of resiliency to be able to manage priorities and deadlines
- Computer literacy, competent in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Current driver's licence
- Intermediate computer skills
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn the workers compensation systems, the Return to Work Act and WHS legislation & regulations
- Qualifications in workers compensation and/or injury management are highly desired
