About the role:
This is a 12 month contract position covering an employee on maternity leave.

Manage the full range of market planning functions (Demand & Supply) to ensure high forecast accuracy and optimise inventory with critical involvement in the local S&OP process.

Develop initiatives to improve forecast accuracy and drive customer service levels.

Reporting to the Senior Demand Planner, you will:
Generate accurate, timely monthly sales forecast to present to Sales, Marketing, Finance and Logistics
Provide statistical analysis using product history, trends, seasonality, sell through etc, while ensuring all reporting and analysis complies with the weekly and monthly Supply Chain handbook requirements
Key contributor to the effective execution in the local S&OP process in accordance with the monthly cycle
Work closely with Customer strategy, Sales and Marketing to ensure accurate planning of promotional activity, product launches and product discontinuation
Collaborate closely with Global supply to ensure smooth and timely supply of product in accordance with the weekly and monthly demand cycle and partner with the Supply & Customisation lead to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained
Manage the inventory value to achieve the inventory targets, including safety stock levels, by optimizing the inventory footprint
Manage SKU levels and recommend SKU rationalization initiatives to optimize product ranges aligned to demand
Produce forecast accuracy and deviation reports including root cause analysis and counter measures for any inaccuracies

You will have:

3 years' experience in demand planning within FMCG, with a degree qualification in Supply Chain and/or other relevant tertiary qualifications (APICS certification will be desirable)
Experience in S&OP process and an advanced user of Excel
Experience using SAP or other ERP systems with MRP and proficient in the use of Demand Planning tools and software (JDA desirable)
Strong analytical abilities and high attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal communications skills, with an ability to lead cross-functionally
Strong time management and ability to prioritise effectively
