Job Description:

Being a Runner at MPC is a great place to start your career in VFX. You will be a key member of the support team that ensures the Studio runs smoothly.

This is an opportunity to dip your toes into the VFX industry and see if you have a passion for visual effects.


No two days would be the same; one day you will be writing Yammer posts, promoting staff competitions, and staff engagement events, the next day you will be researching and shopping for supplies for staff engagement events, the next you will be preparing new starter packs for our new recruits, doing Studio Tours, etc, Daily you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of our kitchens, making sure, kitchens are well stocked and clean, this includes the setup and shut down of or coffee machines.

Ordering and delivering OT dinners (this may include weekend work on occasion).


Supporting the Production teams with ad hoc tasks; calendar management of meeting rooms and setting up Studio meeting rooms for Dallies.

Organizing OT dinners and lunches for the production teams (this could include after-hours work on occasion).

Qualifications:

  • Lots of energy with a friendly approachable personality
  • Ability to learn new tasks with time efficiency
  • Have some experience (but not essential) coordinating events, mainly in house with some afterhours work (normally a couple of times a month)
  • Confident in the basics of Microsoft; Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Forms
  • Have a creative flair for designing posters/Yammer posts etc.
  • VFX industry knowledge would be great but not essential
  • Sense of humor
