Remarkable is the startup venture arm of one of Australia's largest and most respected disability providers - Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

This role is heading up a new aspect of the award winning Remarkable Program - working with scale ups who are creating technology to break down barriers to equal participation for people with disability and amplify human potential by working at the intersection of disability, ageing and health technologies.


Join a small team of motivated, impact-driven, "glass-half-full" kind of people who love to help tech startups make the world a better, more inclusive place for people with disabilities.

The team runs world leading accelerator and incubator programs for disability innovation and leads a successful network of related accelerators around the world.


The Head of Investment role is a newly created hybrid role that will lead the commercialisation and scaling support that focuses on Seed / Series A stage companies in disability, ageing and health related areas.

It helps assess the portfolio of companies that Remarkable is supporting, and build their investment readiness.

Snapshot of the role:

  • Help source potential startups from within and outside the Remarkable portfolio OR Sourcing, building and maintaining the CRM of potential portfolio companies to build a pipeline of scalable startups CPA can provide investment or support to
  • Providing support to founders around their commercial and strategic development to grow startups graduating from the accelerator and scaler programs
  • Managing the Remarkable Investment
  • Conducting due diligence on the startups to diagnose how to best support them to scale
  • Work with a small number of startups founders to support their commercial and strategic development to take them to seed or series A
  • Help provide thought leadership on this emerging industry to investors
  • Collaborating with the Remarkable Program Directors to continue to support startups after they've finished the accelerator program.

Snapshot of you:

  • You're either an experienced startup founder who has worked within a startup to take it to scale or you've worked alongside startups in the venture capital industry as a senior analyst or principal role
  • You love working with people and getting them to achieve their best
  • You love numbers and business
  • You have a passion for inclusion
  • You cope well with ambiguity
  • You have a willingness to do some international travel (if we're allowed)
  • And a willingness to get a WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Check
