Our client is a Brisbane based growing Natural Resources business that has a diversified portfolio of assets across the natural resources and renewable / energy sectors throughout the Asia Pac region. The firm is entering a growth phase of the business and are looking for a General Manager of Corporate Development to lead this development alongside the senior executives of the business. Reporting directly into the CFO this role will have a wide range of responsibilities. The firm has a flat structure and fosters an entrepreneurial environment with equity being on offer for the right candidate.
The role will involve working on business development initiatives and
supporting the executives to identify / assess investment opportunities, developing financial and commercial analysis, participate in all stages of transaction execution, including vendor, equity and debt discussions and evaluate macro environment and industry developments.
You will be at a top tier investment bank / M&A Advisor, a Big4 Accounting firm (M&A or Modelling/Valuations team), a relevant corporate or working within a natural resources/metals and mining focused Private Equity business and you are likely to have 4-8 years of work experience. You will have an interest in the resources sector, you will be smart, capable of dealing with senior executives, able to demonstrate a strategic mindset and ambitious.
