Maintenance Procurement Manager to be based in
western suburbs of Melbourne.

About the role:


The Maintenance Procurement Manager is responsible for the evaluation and purchasing of consumables and most capital equipment, they are also responsible for the internal maintenance team (currently 5 direct reports) and coordinating external maintenance contractors.


Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are being met and report any areas of concerns to the OH&S Manager.
  • Train, develop and coach both new and existing staff
  • Promote team culture and constantly motivate staff to strive for an efficient and effective maintenance of warehouse.
  • Liaise and coordinate with external contractors to ensure various equipment is in good working order.
  • Manage the daytoday operations of maintenance/cleaning staff.
  • Procuring and ensuring consumables are available and seek best value for it
  • Maintain and develop professional relationships with all external stakeholders/suppliers/customers.
  • Provide feedback as to continuous improvements that may be made both for procurement and maintenance of the facilities.

About you:

  • Previous experience in a similar role/capacity.
  • Strong planning, coordinating and organisational skills
  • Ability to establish and follow processes and procedures accurately
  • Excellent people and process skills
  • Handson approach with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to supervise, train and develop staff.
  • Forklift license and experience would be advantageous
