Macquarie Vetz Animal Centre is looking for an experienced veterinarian or recently graduated to join our team.

Macquarie Vetz is a small animal practise that was established in 2007, located in Newcastle, Warners Bay. We are looking for enthusiastic veterinarians to expand our team and support our new lead vet as the founding vets head into retirement in mid-2024. We are a supportive practice who strive to achieve a good work/life balance and support you in your career development. Full-time and part-time positions available.

We offer you:

A high level of support from our experienced veterinarians and certificated IV qualified nurses. A clinic where you are respected and encouraged to be the vet you want to be. An interesting and varied role with support to build on your interests and strengths be they medical, surgical or both. Well-equipped practice: Idexx pathology, digital radiology including dental X-Ray, ultrasonography and endoscopy. Paid study leave according to industry standards. Remuneration to reflect experience will be negotiated at interview. A true work /life balance practice. Clinic hours 8 to 5.30 Monday to Friday and 8 to 12 Saturday. No Sundays, after-hours, or house calls. Sponsorship for international applications will be considered.

You will have:

Previous small animal experience preferred. The will to achieve excellence in patient and client care. Excellent communication & teamwork skills Strong initiative and good time management skills The ability to embrace our practice culture. A progressive attitude towards professional development. A positive attitude and the ability to see humour in situations. Qualification to be registered as a veterinarian in New South Wales.
