Job Description:

The selected candidate will take part in identifying, developing, and executing quality and service enhancement initiatives aligned with National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) and International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) accreditation/certification to improve pathology services.

Requirements:
Proof of qualification is essential for this role. Certified copies must be submitted to the relevant supervisor/manager before commencing clinical responsibilities.The successful candidate must possess a relevant tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Medical Laboratory Science.

This role involves reasonable travel for Pathology Queensland's statewide activities; the candidate will need to use their private vehicle and hold a valid Queensland 'C' class license.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD)

Requirements:

As a condition of employment, the employee must be vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine-preventable diseases throughout their tenure: Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella, and Varicella.

Additional vaccinations such as Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies may also be necessary for this role.

Existing staff hired pre-1 July 2016 are exempt from this requirement unless they seek a position with VPD criteria in a different Queensland Health entity (e.g., between HHS, department to HHS, or HHS to department).
