About the position
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HSE Manager to join the Team based in our Broome Facility


Being part of the Operational Team, our Health, Safety & Environment Manager is a key operational role delivering practical HSE leadership.


With the support of the Senior Management Group, you are responsible for influencing cultural change and driving a strategy of best practice HSE processes and results.


Key responsibilities of the role (but not limited to):

  • Driving consistent and continuous improvement in HSE, practices and standards including reporting progress and performance and identifying areas of improvement
  • Developing best practice in HSE matters across all aspects of the business through inspection, audit, investigation, and corrective action.
  • Providing HSE leadership, advice and support to all employees and subcontractors
  • Assessing, improving, and maintaining a comprehensive health and safety management system to deliver initiatives that meet legislative and contractual requirements.
  • Developing health and safety change initiatives to support the business operational objectives.
  • Partnering with all areas of the business to facilitate positive safety behaviours.
  • Ensure all new employees are inducted into the HSE system and related procedures and processes.
  • Monitor and lead a culture of continual improvement within the KRSP Integrated Management System including facilitating the annual audit program
  • Liaise and participate with the Operations Manager in respect of HSE requirements and plans for all contracts and major projects including regular operational meetings.
  • A knowledge of facility and licensing requirements and an ability to lead projects to meet compliance obligations.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing health, safety and environmental management systems and providing advice to managers and employees in regard to best practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in an HSE management role within a maintenance service or industrial environment.
  • Thorough understanding of WHS legislation, regulations, and standards
  • Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety (highly desirable)
  • Experience in QA systems and processes (desirable)
  • First aid certificate
  • Current C driver's licence & a clean driving record
  • The ability to provide a National Police Clearance
  • Have full and unrestricted Australian work rights

  • Have well developed communication and time management skills, along with the ability to influence and drive a safety culture.

Location
This is a permanent, residential (Mon - Fri) role based at our Broome Workshop.

We will consider applicants who reside in Perth who are willing to relocate to Broome or undertaking regular travel to Broome (approximately 1-2 weeks per month)
