Ideally 3rd or 4th year within your schooling, you'll possess a positive attitude and be keen to work in a workshop environment with a strong focus on teamwork Ultimately, you'll be seeking stability, security and a strong team environment from your next employer.


What you will do:

  • The role primarily deals with inspection, measurement, assembly and testing of various rolling stock (train) componentry and equipment.
  • Be responsible for the quality of your workmanship.
  • Fitting and assembling components
  • Day Shift
    _(Mon to Thurs 6am 2:30pm, Fri 6am to 12pm)_

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in component overhauls and rebuilds ideally in rail, automotive, defence, manufacturing, aviation, or other like industries.
  • Perform mechanical related tasks such as overhaul, preventative maintenance, fit out and of mechanical equipment.
  • Use a range of precision measurement equipment,, machinery, hand and power tools.

  • Eye for detail, sound documentation and record keeping traits
  • Highlevel problemsolving skills and ability to work as part of a dynamic team
  • Exceptional work ethic and ability to follow work procedures

  • Desire to drive innovation and exceed expectation.
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence

Highly Regarded:

  • Fitting experience
  • Previous Rail/Rolling Stock oe heavy engineering experience
  • Valid High Risk Work Licence (preference for WP, DG, LF)
