Executive Assistant to Chief People Officer (max term 12 months):

The role


We are looking for a dynamic Executive Assistant to join the People, Environment and Portfolio team, based in Fortitude Valley, responsible for day-to-day executive support to the Chief People Officer and selected administrative functions in support of the broader business unit.

This position is a maternity leave cover position, max term for 12 months.

Responsibilities will include:

  • You will coordinate the forward planned schedule and daily business of the Executive including coordinating meetings, information briefs, travel demands and identifying possible issues which may impact on the activities of the Executive.
  • Analyse enquiries, requests and correspondence from stakeholders and determine appropriate action on behalf of the Executive.
  • Communicate and liaise with Sunwater staff and senior executives from public and private organisations on a wide range of issues, respect and maintain confidentiality, client confidence and effective working relationships.
  • Manage functional support including undertaking specific projects in support of the business unit and its longterm operations.
  • Prepare a variety of complex reports, attend meetings to take minutes and coordinate briefing material for Board and Committee meetings and other business performance documents.

About you
We are looking for someone with the ability to manage varied and conflicting demands to agreed standards and timelines. You will have a proactive attitude and the ability to work autonomously and effectively within a team environment.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • High level of communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, coupled with experience in developing and maintaining effective business relationships with key stakeholders
  • Advanced Diploma in Business Administration or practical knowledge of business and administrative processes gained by 3 to 4 years of on the job experience
  • Experience in maintaining documentation for meetings and providing executive support to committees
  • Sound knowledge and practical skills in computerised financial and accounting systems and software (SAP ideal), including spreadsheets and database programs
  • Governance experience highly regarded
