Job Title:
Student Education Counselor - Onshore (Sydney)

Responsibilities:

Student Guidance:

  • Provide comprehensive counseling to prospective and current students regarding educational programs, career paths, and academic planning.
  • Offer support and advice on course selection and program requirements.

Admissions Assistance:

  • Assist students through the admissions process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of required documents.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to streamline the admissions process.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment.
  • Address and resolve student concerns promptly and professionally.

Educational Resource Knowledge:

  • Stay abreast of educational programs, courses, and industry trends to provide uptodate information to students.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to ensure accurate and current knowledge.

Event Coordination:

  • Organize and participate in informational sessions, workshops, and events to promote educational offerings and engage with students.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
  • Generate reports as needed to track student progress and provide insights for improvement.

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Stay informed about relevant education regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and guidelines in all studentrelated activities.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Counseling, or a related field.
  • 1year previous experience in education counseling or a related role preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Counseling Skills:

  • Strong counseling and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges students may face.

Organization and Time Management:

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Efficient time management skills to prioritize responsibilities.

Lack of Professionalism:

  • Any history of unprofessional behavior or inappropriate conduct.

Inadequate Knowledge of Education System:

  • Limited understanding of the Australian education system and its offerings.

Poor Communication with Students:

Inattention to Regulations:
