Job Summary (Purpose):

  • Supports the Commercial Finance Manager and Finance manager with reporting & analytics, monthend closing and financial planning & analysis.
  • Supports budget process, prepares bottomup rolling estimates, tracks performance of actual versus plan (sellin and sellout).
  • Act as a business partner to the commercial teams (sales & marketing), providing them with relevant financial support and insights.
  • Performs Whatif/Simulations for key value drivers (e.g. new products/customers), and supports crossfunctional partners by providing standard and adhoc analyses
  • Participates actively in monthly commercial discipline process to identify risks and opportunities
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: trade investment (GrosstoNet) followup, monthly promotion validation & documentation, Monthly expenditure cycle, Amex administration and support and Internal control reporting.
  • Adhoc requests from commercial finance manager and finance Manager as required In addition you will collaborate with Commercial Teams. As a commercial finance SME you will also help drive process improvement initiatives in the commercial and analytics areas

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively support budget and strategic planning process by providing necessary analysis and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare forecasted financials by working closely with the key stakeholders in other departments and constantly track the achievement of the forecast.
  • Perform variance analysis between forecast and actuals and deliver summary reports. Provide commentary on the key reasons driving the variances, not only from a numeric perspective, but also from a business perspective.
  • Use of analytics to analyse Net Sales components, actuals and future estimates
  • A&P reporting analytics, review actuals and future estimates in advertising spend
  • Review and analyse Brand, Form and Channel P&L's
  • Participate in meetings and proactively communicate with the cross functional partners
  • Consolidate requests from commercial teams and incorporate them into financial plans.
  • Perform adhoc analysis and reporting nonroutine type analysis and report based on the requests from the manager, management team and business partners. Create Whatif/Simulations analysis where required to support growth and improve business understanding and decision making.
  • Closing prepare closing documents, post journal entries, reconcile P&L and BS and provide commentary
  • Concur and Amex administration responsibilities
  • SME for local AP process, facilitates AP process, PO creation AP support between local uses and CBS AP team.
  • Continually look for ways to improve efficiency and leverage digital to create a better Commercial Process, including the use of FEED culture to help achieve this transformation
  • Work cross functionally with the multifunctional team to review current commercial process with the view to process improvements
  • Live Hill's values, including DE&I

  • Perform SOX Audit requirements.
  • Works with External and internal auditors to assist in the Audit process

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Knowledge SAP Management
  • Financial analysis capacity

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years in similar positions
  • Knowledge of accounting processes and internal control
  • At least 3 years of diversified financial experience (FMCG industry preferred)
  • Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
  • SAP Proficiency
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytics and problem solving skills.
