Tax Professional Position at ATC Advisors

If you are an enthusiastic tax professional with at least twelve months' experience in the tax industry, who can work well within a supportive team and independently, with excellent administrative, organizational, and numeracy skills, this role is perfect for you.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax calculations.
  • Familiarity with various reliefs including Property Allowance, Trading Allowances, Married Couples Allowance, Marriage Allowance Transfer, Principal Private Residence Relief, and Business Asset Disposal Relief.
  • Basic knowledge of National Insurance Contributions and the Statutory Residence Test.
  • Awareness of Farmers' Averaging.
  • Experience in processing Personal and Partnership Self Assessment Tax Returns.
  • Familiarity with the 60-day Capital Gains Tax reporting regime.

If you are currently pursuing an ATT and/or CTA qualification, your development will be supported.

About the Role: This position primarily involves preparing Self Assessment Tax Returns using IRIS Accountancy software, with training provided. Responsibilities include communicating with HM Revenue and Customs, engaging with clients to discuss their tax situation, and actively seeking tax-saving opportunities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently with a practical approach.
