About the RoleResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
- Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
- Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
- Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
We are seeking a suitable applicant who has a passion for supporting complex students and developing the capacity of teachers to provide adjustments in their teaching and learning sequences.
The successful applicant will have experience leading and providing high quality programs for students with disability and demonstrated capacity to provide curriculum leadership leading to high quality learning outcomes for all students.
They will lead a team of Student Services Team members to work proactively with students in the classroom and in a support role when students have difficulty with emotional regulation.
There will be a clear focus on skill development with this team to ensure that students across the school are equitably supported.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their capacity to develop relationships in our school community and maintain productive partnerships with external agencies.
