About the role

We're seeking a Facilities Officer to coordinate and deliver of a range of maintenance, compliance and administration activities across a busy multisite environment to ensure all buildings are secure, comfortable, environmentally friendly, and safe.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Conduct building inspections across the portfolio ensuring a high standard of presentation, cleanliness, safety and security.
  • Act as the first point of contact for Transurban staff seeking facilities assistance
  • Organise scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requests and manage contractor attendance in line with Transurban Policy.
  • Proactively support management of the emergency management framework including maintaining physical security systems and acting as deputy chief warden.
  • Review and maintain service records, asset registers, supplier records and compliance documentation for the region to ensure that they are accurate, easy to locate and meet audit requirements.

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • Safety is in your DNA – you'll continuously alert to OHS risks and hazards and report all hazards or incidents and escalate as required
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills – ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels
  • Well-developed organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a strong focus on compliance
  • Valid QLD Drivers Licence
  • Experience with contract and supplier management
