About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Advisor, Group Closure to support the provision of technical closure advice and data to the Closure Steering Committee (CSC). You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining the 2 nd line closure risk management program and supporting the implementation of the 2 nd line closure assurance plan.

Reporting to the Chief Advisor Closure Governance, you'll contribute to the strategic long-term goals and planning for the Closure Governance & Assurance team. Your responsibilities will include supporting the identification, development and maintenance of Group closure risks and their controls, performance criteria, and verification guidance. You will provide technical advice to the Closure Steering Committee (CSC), reviewing submissions, critically analyzing relevant data, and offering guidance on appropriate actions and controls to ensure effective closure management.

In collaboration with the Assurance Office, you will plan and implement the 2 nd line closure assurance program. This includes identifying auditors with the necessary expertise and coaching internal auditors and consultants to enhance the quality of the closure assurance program. Maintaining effective relationships with assurance providers and recipients across the business is also crucial, as is providing comprehensive reporting for the CSC and other senior leaders on closure assurance outcomes, key metrics, and knowledge sharing across the Group .

What you'll bring
  • Extensive experience in closure planning and/or closure studies, including planning and delivery of progressive closure projects
  • Expertise in closure subject matter, data analysis and risk management (including assurance)and auditing.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, including the ability to coach and collaborate with senior leaders.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required

Nous sommes a la recherche d'une personne hautement qualifiée pour occuper le poste de conseiller(ère) principal(e), Fermeture du Groupe. Le ou la titulaire du poste aura pour tâche de conseiller le Comité d'orientation de fermeture et de lui fournir des données techniques. Il ou elle sera notamment responsable de l'élaboration et du maintien du programme de gestion des risques liés a la fermeture de 2 e ligne ainsi que du soutien a la mise en œuvre du plan d'assurance de fermeture de 2 e ligne.

Vous relèverez de la conseillère en chef de Gouvernance de fermeture et contribuerez aux objectifs stratégiques a long terme et a la planification de l'équipe Gouvernance et assurance de fermeture. Vos responsabilités comprendront l'identification des risques liés aux activités de fermeture du Groupe ainsi que l'élaboration et le maintien des contrôles connexes, des critères de performance et des directives sur la vérification. Vous offrirez des conseils techniques au Comité d'orientation de fermeture, passerez en revue des soumissions, analyserez les données pertinentes en faisant appel a votre sens critique et recommanderez des actions et des contrôles appropriés pour assurer une gestion de fermeture efficace.

En collaboration avec le Bureau d'assurance, vous effectuerez la planification et la mise en œuvre du programme d'assurance de fermeture de 2 e ligne. Les tâches qui s'y rattachent comprennent le choix des auditeurs possédant l'expertise appropriée ainsi que le coaching des auditeurs et des consultants internes afin d'améliorer la qualité du programme d'assurance de fermeture. Le maintien de relations efficaces avec les fournisseurs et les bénéficiaires d'assurance dans l'ensemble de l'entreprise est également essentiel, tout comme la présentation de rapports complets portant sur les résultats, les mesures clés et le partage des connaissances d'assurance de fermeture a l'échelle du Groupe au Comité d'orientation de fermeture et a d'autres hauts dirigeants.

Votre contribution
  • Vaste expérience en planification de fermeture ou en études de fermeture, y compris en planification et exécution de projets de fermeture progressive
  • Expertise en matière de fermeture, d'analyse des données, de gestion des risques (notamment sur le plan de l'assurance) et d'audit
  • Excellentes compétences en établissement de relations, et capacité d'assumer un rôle de coach et de collaborer avec la haute direction
  • Consentement a effectuer, au besoin, des voyages au pays et a l'étranger
  • Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais a l'oral et a l'écrit, si vous postulez sur le poste basé a Montréal (Québec).
