What's the role?


Reporting to the GM Newsroom & Production Technology, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery and operation of News Corp Australia's digital asset management system that currently stores and maintains more than 100 million of News Corp Australia's assets from printed and digital publications.


You will be the focal point for the management of our DAM platform and all of it's integrations by working closely with our editorial content producers, internal IT platform teams, delivery management, third party vendors and our, thus ensuring that the business can evolve and enhance the platforms to support the organisation's current and future business strategies.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders, including our Product teams, vendors and newsroom to collect, prioritise and delivery on business initiatives
  • Manage vendor relationships across video and audio, including managed services and platform suppliers down to a contractual level
  • Work with the stakeholders to document short and long term platform roadmaps across both project and BAU, and deliver on those agreed roadmaps
  • Work with vendor on platform improvements that enhance reliability and operational stability Handle incident & problem management

  • Database experience, SQL preferred
  • Working knowledge of Linux based operating systems Education & Industry Experience
  • 3+ years in a similar role of a comparable scale
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
  • Project and change management experience
  • Demonstrated delivery experience
  • Enterprise digital asset management experience
