Overview

Joining the team at Gawler Health Service, you will provide clinical leadership, knowledge, teamwork, mentoring and organisation in all aspects of the delivery of emergency care to patients.

You will coordinate quality improvements, rostering, administration, teaching, research and site accreditation. You will also maintain policy and ensure quality indicators are updated according to SA Health guidelines.

Working closely with the Executive Director Medical Services, Operational Directors, and other senior clinical staff, you will ensure the Emergency Department achieves key organisational performance measures and develops and maintains effective working relationships within the Hospital, the Local Health Network, other service providers, stakeholders, consumer organisations and the community.

Gawler Health Service provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults to specialist surgical, obstetrics and outpatients.

You will hold a Bachelor of Emergency Medicine (MBBS) or equivalent and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.

Demonstrating extensive clinical experience in the Emergency Services areas, you will be capable of undertaking Consultant work in Adult Emergency Medicine and Paediatric Emergency Medicine.

Your supervisory and leadership skills will equip you to contribute to a team involving Emergency Department Consultants, Trainees, General Practitioners, Nurses and Allied Health teams.
