The Journey Au is looking to contract a fun, loving and responsible Nanny to provide in-home care for children aged between 5 months and 12 years old, in our Client's private homes, on a job-to-job basis.

We mainly service Clients in North Sydney, the eastern suburbs and the inner-west.

University students are encouraged to apply.

The Journey Au can offer 5-40 hours per week, depending on your experience and availability. Some Clients require specific amounts of days/times, so we can only offer you work on a Client

You will be contracted with us for the duration of the job (Client's required term).

Requirements of the Role:

  • Must have a personal Australian Business Number (ABN).
  • Must be residing in Australia.
  • Speak fluent English.
  • Obtain or are working towards a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Education, Social Work, or another related field.
  • Must have a car.
  • Must have a NSW Drivers License (unrestricted preferred but not necessary).
  • First Aid and CPR Training Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Current NSW Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Must have at least 8 hours availability per week.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Primary care of child(ren) in the home.
  • Meal preparation and feeding.
  • Changing nappies and toileting.
  • Play and entertainment.
  • Light domestic tidying and cleaning.
  • Following and maintaining child(ren)'s and family routine.
  • Communicating with parents and family members.
  • Logging hours at the start/end of the day.
  • Directly communicating with your manager.
