Material Controller
An opportunity has become available for a
Material Controller to join our Underwater Systems team based on-site in Rydalmere. Reporting to a Master Planner, you will be working within a Planning Team strongly connected to Operations.
We are seeking an experienced professional to support the team with scheduling and executing manufacturing requirements in association with programme and costs using MRP principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Order Independent Demand entry and maintenance in ERP system.
- Detailed planning of work orders to meet Master Production Schedules.
- Ensure effective operation and management of the material support function to the project teams.
- Identify and action procurement requisitions against published schedules.
- Generate MRP requisitions for Consumable materials as per set reorder levels in ERP system.
- Ensure expediting of Purchase orders is occurring.
- Initiate kitting requirements with stores personnel.
- Ensure Manufacturing data packs and batch cards are available for manufacturing tasks to commerce against published schedules.
- Ensure Kits are released from stores to the relevant Work Centres in line with published schedules.
- Prepare shipping documentation and arrange shipments through Shipping Departments.
- Ensure accuracy in Bills of Material in conjunction with Configuration Control.
- Maintain accuracy of Part Planning Information in the ERP system.
- Act as the production/repair activity planner using CINCOM with particular focus on the manufacturing and repair schedules and stock holdings.
How About You:
- Previous experience working within a production environment
- Previous experience working in a supply chain management environment
- Strong knowledge of coordinating complex supply/material purchasing and scheduling
- Ability to meet deadlines under tight work schedules
- Selfmotivated and able to work effectively within a team
- Sound knowledge of MS office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
