We are developing the Saint Elmo Project which will involve the construction of a mine, concentrator and two refineries on site 15km east of Julia Creek.

The refineries will produce the critical minerals of Vanadium and High Purity Alumina.

Our goal is for all full time operations personnel to live local in the Julia Creek region.

The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Superintendent to join our Team.


In this role you will be required Supervise and participate in all electrical and instrumental tasks in a safe manner to assist in the construction and operations of the Saint Elmo Project.

You will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentational works for our project.

If you have a solid electrical and technical background, possess strong leadership skills, a passion for troubleshooting, and a commitment to safety, we want you on our team Key Responsibilities will include: Fulfill the statutory role of controlling electrical work on site Commit to and comply with the site SHMS, ensuring its effective implementation and continuous improvement Manage electrical maintenance interactions with internal and external stakeholders, including plant and equipment suppliers Integrate closely with site technical and operational teams to ensure a safe and productive work environment Exercise a high duty of care for the safety of others and personal safety Provide strong leadership to electrical teams, emphasising safety and compliance with regulations Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act and Regulation and, Electrical Safety Act & Regulation Ensure all site electrical activities comply with the site SHMS, Queensland Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act, and Regulations, Electrical Safety Act, and Regulations as well as Australian Standards Oversee Instrument technician/electricians in the installation and maintenance of process control equipment Supervise maintenance activities on electrical equipment, including troubleshooting, sourcing parts, and undertaking repairs in a safe and timely manner Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and service fixed plant electrical assets Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams to ensure accurate installations and repairs Participate in the effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of preventative and non-routine electrical maintenance activities What you will require: Relevant electrical trade qualifications and mineral processing plant maintenance experience, essential Knowledge and experience in operating processing plants, specifically classification, flotation, chemical leaching, chemical purification and high temperature kiln refining circuits with complex p H, heat and pumping, piping and control systems Strong working knowledge of the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act and Regulations as well as the Electrical Safety Act, Regulations, and standards Diploma or Advanced Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (essential)

Instrumentation qualifications and experience (desirable but not essential)Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a professional attitude Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite LVR/CPR (Required)Ability to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening3-5 years' experience in a similar supervisory/superintendent role in mining Why work with us:
