What You Will Be Responsible For

In this dynamic role, you will:
  • Lead a team of 6 developers in a growing team, guiding them through a digital transformation journey.
  • Oversee the decommissioning of legacy applications and the implementation of a program of work moving into a hybrid environment of in-house built systems, integrating with best-in-class external software
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies, including SaaS, PaaS, Cloud, API, and Architecture.
  • Assess and develop the team's strengths, providing training and upskilling to ensure top-quality service delivery.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture aligning with the organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Manage the application development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and continuous improvement.

What you will bring to the role

To Excel In This Role, You Will Need

  • Proven success as an Engineering Manager, Application Team Lead or equivalent leadership-level role.
  • Examples of your people development and team empowerment skills
  • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities using Agile and other SDLC methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A strategic mindset with experience in driving digital transformation and adopting new technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices and experience with cloud-based technologies.
  • A genuine passion for servant leadership and a desire to contribute to a mission-driven organisation.
