Lawyer, Personal Injuries (3-5 PAE) - Workplace Relations & Safety - Brisbane

Representing injured workers in WCRA claims and defense of PIPA claims in pre-court procedures and court representation.

About the Role:

  • Seeking a lawyer with experience in personal injuries litigation to join our Workplace Relations & Safety team.
  • Collaborate with experienced Special Counsel and Partners to represent injured workers in WCRA claims and defense of PIPA claims.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on the success potential of WCRA common law claims.
  • Prepare submissions for WorkCover statutory claims.
  • Advise on limitation periods and draft Notices of claim for damages under WCRA.
  • Handle responses to PIPA claims and liaise with clients.
  • Prepare documents, attend discovery processes and conciliation conferences.
  • Represent clients at conciliation conferences and prepare court documents.
  • Manage files and undertake litigation searches.

About You:

Motivated lawyer with at least 3 years' experience in personal injury, dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for clients.

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a positive attitude.

Understanding of court processes, systems knowledge, and willingness to adapt to new software.
