About the role:


We are seeking an experienced, reliable and responsible team player with the passion to become a key member of our operations.

The Back up Production Planner/Supervisor is a permanent position to plan and schedule the daily operations of the Boning Room and other departments.

This role provides back-up for the Production Planners when required, and for Production Supervisors on both shifts.

The incumbent will report to the Supply Chain Manager - Primary Processing when working in the role of Production Planner, and to the responsible Shift Manager for Primary Processing when working as a Production Supervisor.

This key primary production role offers the opportunity for significant career advancement within Australian Country Choice.

About you:


The nature of this role demands a self-motivated, well organised, reliable person with an understanding of the broader production process, the flexibility to comfortable step into either a Production Planning or Production Supervision role when required, and the ability to work with a team to produce results.


  • Punctuality and reliability
  • The ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience and proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets;
  • Strong work ethic, with the capability to multitask and prioritise;
  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with both customers and supervisory and management teams;
  • Beef specification knowledge/AUSMEAT qualifications;

  • A strong WHS ethic, with the ability to lead WHS awareness and compliance in the production environment.
  • A demonstrated high standard of work quality;
  • Compliance with the ACC Code of Conduct;
  • The ability to adapt and be productive in your current work processes and tasks;
  • A practical knowledge of QA and HACCP methodologies.
