The Role
We currently have an opportunity to join our Retail Insurance team as a Pricing Analyst.


Reporting into the Pricing Manager, Retail Insurance you will be supported by a close-knit Pricing team and work alongside our wider Product, Pricing & Proposition function.


This role will primarily focus on providing technical support to Actuaries in the team on pricing projects and business initiative deliverables within required timeframes.

This includes analysis of claims data, policy data, updating of and understanding assumption tables and understanding pricing models to produce and validate results.

This role is a perfect opportunity if you are looking to "kick-start" or extend your Actuarial career. Turn theory into practice in our agile Pricing team.

About You
To be successful in this role you will be an individual who has a high attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and exceptional organisational skills

You will also have:

  • Bachelor's degree majoring in Actuarial Studies, with significant progress towards actuarial exemptions.
  • 1+ years' experience working in Australian life insurance preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL, VBA, R and Python.
  • Be selfmotivated, able to work with little supervision and demonstrate strong multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving, analytical and research capabilities with the ability to challenge conventional thinking.
