Located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, QLD, we are looking for a suitably motivated individual to join the Omni team as an Aircraft Surface Finisher.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The role will work with a small team of SME's that provide customised solutions for our clients' requirements.

With a fantastic team culture, our Caloundra based Rotary Wing team provide excellent customer service and professional aircraft maintenance services.

Combined with knowledge and experience from other teams within the Aerospace Division, the Helicopter Maintenance Team is well positioned to meet the needs of our clients.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Interpret and use aviation maintenance industry manuals and specifications.
• Ability to conduct self in the aviation maintenance environment.
• Plan and organise aviation maintenance work activities.
• Complete aviation maintenance industry documentation.
• Perform basic hand skills, standard trade practices and fundamentals in aviation maintenance.
• Prepare spray painting materials and equipment.
• Remove surface coatings from aircraft or aircraft components.
• Pretreat aluminium alloy surfaces.
• Seal aircraft and aircraft component structural seams.
• Remove light corrosion from aircraft.
• Paint aircraft surfaces.
• Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices.
• Ability to promote and abide by workplace health and safety practices with the workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

Essential Qualifications

• Ability to gain Maintenance/technical/trade qualifications in relevant area.
• The ability to hold and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.

Desirable Qualifications

• Strong organisation and management skills.
• Ability to support complex maintenance projects.
