The Opportunity


Reporting to the managing director, the payroll administrator will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll administration, supporting over 350 employees for 2 businesses across NSW and QLD.


You will be part of an implementation project for a new Payroll, Time and Attendance system (KeyPay) starting this month.


You would be accountable for:

  • Endtoend weekly payroll processing, maintaining accurate data.
  • Drafting employment contracts and onboarding employees electronically.
  • Manage payroll related inquires and issues, interacting directly with employees (ticket, phone and facetoface).
  • Consultation with HR team regarding legislation and awards queries.
  • Manage administrative Workcover paperwork, interacting with insurance to provide payment support.
  • Build reports on excel and interact with the financial department regarding superannuation and payroll taxation.
  • Admin duties as required.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Solid experience administrating end-to-end payroll within mid-size companies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The proven ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills, multitasking, and time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of awards such as retail, transport, warehousing and logistics and Fair Work legislation.
  • Experience operating MicrOPay, KeyPay or similar payroll and T&A systems would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in implementing new systems would be an advantage.
