As our Parcel Processing Officer, you'll be working at Brisbane Parcel Facility, Redbank where you'll be responsible for manually sorting parcels in preparation for delivery. You'll play a key role in supporting our Posties, who provide a vital service to our local community every day. You might not be working from home, but you'll be working together with a friendly team of like-minded people, and your community relies on you, and it doesn't get better than that

You'll be working dayshift from 11:30am to 7:21pm Monday to Friday, and from 12:00pm to 7:51pm on Sunday's (1 in 3 Sunday rotation).

You'll be

  • Assisting with the processing of Parcels and Express Post Parcels
  • Manually handling and sorting parcels to post code level within specific regions and perform quality checks
  • Manually load and unload mail from containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
  • Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility
  • Working and standing on your feet for long periods of time

About you

  • You are flexible with working additional hours if required
  • You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly
  • Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory
