We have an exciting opportunity available for a Contracts Officer to join the Networks Procurement team in Adelaide, fulltime for 1 year.

Reporting to the Manager, Network Procurement, you will support the end-to-end procurement of low to medium value and risk goods, services or works in accordance with APA Groups Procurement Standards and Policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of sourcing strategies that deliver optimal commercial outcomes to meet business requirements
  • Managed low to medium complexity and value contractual arrangements
  • Support Procurement Specialists in providing effective business partnering to APA stakeholders
  • Lead negotiation, implementation and amendment of contracts ensuring legal adequateness, commercial viability, appropriate risk mitigation and supply continuity
  • Manage stakeholder demands and competing priorities by keeping stakeholders informed and satisfied with your deliverables

Your background

  • Understanding of procurement processes
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills
  • Attention to detail and capable of managing many tasks and projects
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Diploma of Charted Institute of Procurement and Supply and/or tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, commerce or engineering (not mandatory)

About the Team

Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.

This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics. Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
