The purpose of this role is to provide Core Network Designs and provide technical expertise and guidance to the other operational project groups within the Company. To recommend any improvements in all design processes and procedures to support the delivery of accurate designs in an efficient manner.

This role has the ability to be either FULL TIME OR PART TIME.

Some responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of core infrastructure and service designs which satisfy the solutions brief
  • Design across transmission (OTN, C/DWDM) and routing/switching (IP/MPLS) technologies
  • Work with fibre specialists for accurate fibre designs including splice schedules and documentation
  • Design and allocate physical footprint, rack and power systems
  • Convert/import as-built and other construction data into inventory systems

Skills:

  • Australian Citizenship preferably with NV1 Clearance
  • Minimum of 3years' experience in the Telecommunication industry in a carrier/service provider environment in the areas of competency listed in the duties and responsibilities
  • Strong analytical skills with keen problem solving and resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering with a speciality/focus on Telecommunications/IT/Electrical design
