The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for overseeing the management and reporting of financial data, supporting the Finance team and other departments and delivering monthly financial results in a timely and accurate manner.
Key accountabilities:
- Prepare technical accounting papers, reports, accounting policies and procedures, and other material as required
- Prepare and review the statutory annual financial statements including the supporting work papers for consolidated and/or individual entities within the Health Group including liaising with external auditors
- Review, evaluate, make recommendations and implementing internal controls
- Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs and procedures including spearheading optimisation/best practice financial accounting and reporting processes
- Prepare balance sheet projections (including cash) and monitoring against forecast/budget
- Prepare monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA or CA fully qualified
- Pervious extensive experience in similar position in medium to large enterprise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong level of analytical and commercial acumen
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other financial software and tools for reporting and analysis purposes
- Ability to perform data and statistical analysis to spot trends and anomalies
- Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders
