The Job:
Responsible for a wide range of administrative activities, and some property management tasks, you'll be given comprehensive support and training by your experienced team around you who have implemented the best systems and procedures for you to follow.
This can involve ensuring the property is in good order and that the tenants are happy and doing the right thing, and can span services such as collecting rent, chasing up arrears, maintaining the condition of the property, organising maintenance jobs, ensuring compliance with property laws, and leasing the property.
Gartland have a team of 5 Residential Property Managers that perform these functions, and as a result, they often have overflow administrative needs that relate to these tasks.
This is where your support will be required.Your duties will range from preparing and sending prospective renters offers, lease communications and lease documentation, to creating new rental profiles within the property management software (a system called PropertyTree), and assisting Property Mangers with general administration tasks.
You'll prepare and process rental agreement renewals and rent increases, assist Property Managers with condition reports and routine inspections and also coordinate maintenance activities and trades when required.
In line with the progress of your training and development, you'll also work towards taking on a small portfolio of residential properties to manage yourself that will continue to grow in step with your experience.
Predominantly a Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm role, you will also work approximately 1 in every 8 Saturday mornings on a rotating roster, just to assist with leasing (houses that are open for inspections) across the residential portfolio (and can then take that additional time worked off in lieu).

Skills Required:
A positive, proactive, reliable and focused individual, you'll ideally already have an Agents Representative Certificate (or have a Certificate IV in Property Services, or be working towards this) and have experience providing administrative and customer service support within a professional environment.
