About the role
The Risk Management team is responsible for developing risk frameworks and policies.

Monitoring adherence to risk frameworks and policies, providing independent oversight of the risk management activities of the first line of defence.

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this role covers:
Team operations, delivery of change to strengthen risk maturity and team productivity and risk governance and reporting

What you'll do:

-
Team operations:

  • Organising team meetings and events.
  • Organising and delivering the Risk QBR continual improvement process.
  • Developing engagement survey action plans.
  • Monitoring completion of all team action plans.
  • Writing risk team communications, and risk management communications for all Tyro.

- **Delivery of change**:
  • Lead projects to strengthen Tyro's risk management practices, improve/replace risk systems and improve risk team productivity.
  • This ranges from small initiatives to larger projects.
  • Specific role will differ depending on the size, complexity and nature of each project. Includes project manager, project coordinator, Risk team SME.
  • Includes all aspects of project management including business case, delivery, change management and communications plans.
  • Lead the delivery of Risk Maturity and Culture action plans.
- **Risk governance and reporting**:
  • Organising, minuting and tracking actions from key risk meetings. This includes the Executive Risk Committee (ERC) and Divisional Risk Forums (DRF).
  • Coordinating delivery of papers for key risk meetings. This includes Board, Board Risk Committee (BRC), ERC and DRF.
  • Monitoring the Risk Framework/Policy review calendar and ensuring the review cycle is adhered to.
  • Coordinate updates to the Enterprise Risk Profile, and Strategic and Emerging Risk Radar.
  • Monitor completion of action plans associated with ERP, Radar, internal and external audits (where they pertain to risk management), and other risk management reviews.
  • Managing the Risk team dashboard.
  • Working with other risk leaders to improve risk category dashboards and reporting (may involve leading improvement initiatives).
  • Manage reviews of the Risk Management Strategy and Risk Appetite Statement.
  • Manage the Risk Management Declaration process.

- **General Risk Management**:
  • Responsible for the identification and management of risk in day to day responsibilities.
  • Comply with Tyro policies and procedures including completing mandatory training within the required timeframes.
  • Role model positive risk behaviours and contribute towards a strong risk culture at Tyro.
