Job Description



You are set to join our dynamic software development team as a software engineer. Within the team, we focus on creating software for (quantum) physics process simulators, controlling our devices, and characterizing quantum hardware. Your main tasks will revolve around tasks that demand high computational performance, like simulating quantum computing circuits and integrating our quantum computer into an HPC environment. You will work closely not only with other members of the software team but also collaborate with our quantum system architects and developers of quantum applications due to your unique skill set.

Requirements
  • A relevant PhD in theoretical physics, computational physics, or computer science (a master's degree is also acceptable if relevant and exceptional)
  • Experience in high-performance computing
  • A strong foundation in mathematics
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in a collaborative software development team
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python
  • Knowledge of standard software design and coding best practices
  • Familiarity with professional software development methodologies and tools
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English
