**The opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Learning & Development Specialist to support our Bupa Medical Visa Services, Australian Defence Force and Department of Veterans' Affairs business units.


In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to deliver strategic learning and development initiatives to support with onboarding and ongoing professional development.


To be successful in the role, you will be highly motivated Learning & Development Specialist who loves creating, designing and working with people to deliver solutions with real impact.

This role can be based in Melbourne (preferred), Sydney or Brisbane with hybrid working arrangements.

How will you make an impact?

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design interactive and engaging training solutions to deliver to business units, predominantly digital and elearning.
  • Deliver training solutions which meet departmental requirements and individual needs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, surveys and other methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external training vendors and evaluate and recommend new resources and programs as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to learning and development.
  • Report on learning and development activities and progress to stakeholders and management monthly.

What do I need?

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Bachelor's degree in education, human resource management, organisational development, or a related field is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in designing, delivering and evaluating training and development programs
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience in using Learning Management Systems
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
